PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi (WIKAIKON) Collaborates with WIKA Group in Indonesia Construction Exhibition 2024
Tangerang - PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi (WIKAIKON), in collaboration with WIKA Group, took part in the 2024 Indonesia Construction Exhibition held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang. The exhibition with the theme “Agility and Adaptability of the Competitive Construction sector” highlights various innovations and advantages of the Indonesian construction sector in the midst of global market changes. WIKAIKON is present by displaying its superior product, namely the First Elevated Railway Bridge in Indonesia using a steel pipe frame, designed without bolts using a welding connection method carried out by competent labor. This product is a good collaboration between the main executing contractor PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk and PT Bhakti Karya Utama as the maincon, consultant PT Raya Konsult as the design planner.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who was present with the Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo, Deputy Minister of PU Diana Kusumastuti, along with the ranks of the Ministry of Public Works (PU). The opening ceremony was also attended by the President Director of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk and the President Directors of various subsidiaries of the WIKA Group.
In his remarks AHY said “Konstruksi Indonesia 2024 is an annual event that can build capacity in building the nation's infrastructure through synergy and collaboration to increase competitiveness by presenting interconnections between the materials, equipment, construction technology and construction services industries which can become the main pillars in digital-based infrastructure development.”
“We are very enthusiastic and proud to be able to participate in the Indonesian Construction Exhibition 2024, especially in collaboration with the WIKA Group which brings superior innovations in the industry. Through our product, the Simpang Tujuh Joglo Elevated Railway Bridge, WIKAIKON strives to strengthen the value of efficiency and safety which is very relevant to the theme 'Agility and Adaptability'. This innovation is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to continue to adapt, grow, and compete in the global market with the highest quality standards. We believe that the synergy and collaboration at this event will strengthen the position of Indonesia's construction sector as a resilient and innovative major player in the international arena.” Sidiq added.
