WIKAIKON Socializes Occupational Safety and Health (K3) at SMK 1 Seyegan Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta - In order to commemorate the National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month 2025, PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi (WIKAIKON) through the Jogja-Bawen Toll Road Section Steel Girder Procurement and Erection Project team held a socialization activity entitled “Melek K3 in the School Environment” at SMK 1 Seyegan, Yogyakarta. This activity aims to increase student awareness about the importance of applying K3 principles in the school environment as part of efforts to build a safety culture from an early age. (11/02)
The commemoration of the National OSH Month 2025 carries the theme “Strengthening Human Resources Capacity in Supporting the Implementation of the OSH Management System (SMK3) to Increase Productivity.” With reference to this theme, WIKAIKON is committed to continuing to educate various parties, including the younger generation, so that they have a good understanding of work safety and are able to apply it in various environments.
In this activity, the WIKAIKON project team provides material on the basics of K3, the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and steps to prevent accident risks in the school environment and in the world of work. The students are also given interactive sessions to get to know more closely the safety practices applied in the construction industry.
WIKAIKON's Commitment in Improving K3 Culture As a company engaged in the industrial and construction sectors, WIKAIKON continues to strive to create a safe and healthy work environment. Through educational activities like this, the company hopes to instill K3 awareness from an early age, so that students who will later enter the industrial world are ready to implement a culture of occupational safety and health.
The Principal of SMK 1 Seyegan, Mr. Yon Fatkhunal Huda, expressed his appreciation for the initiative taken by WIKAIKON. “We are very grateful for this opportunity. K3 socialization is very beneficial for our students, especially for those who will enter the world of work and industry. With a better understanding of K3, we believe they will be better prepared to face future challenges,” he said.
With this activity, it is hoped that awareness and compliance with OHS standards will increase, not only in the industrial environment but also in the world of education. WIKAIKON will continue to play an active role in increasing the capacity of human resources in various sectors to support better implementation of SMK3 in Indonesia.
